Many of the world’s leading semiconductor companies, using both proprietary and licensable IP architectures to design their microprocessors, have leveraged Obsidian Software’s RAVEN suite to improve processor designs and minimize the number of manufacturing spins.
Obsidian is a privately held company, founded in 1997 by three processor verification engineers from AMD. In 2009 Obsidian assisted in the verification of 11 processor designs, ranging from processors for 4G mobile devices and ultra-mobile netbook PCs to integrated circuits for military avionics.
