Setting up Obsidian

Tools as a mean, not as an end

Obsidian’s philosophy combines an almost immediate setup through the activation of a series of pre-configured, out-of-the-box functionalities with all kinds of personalization options, with advanced configuration.

The initial Obsidian installation process can be completed in a matter of minutes using a simple process that is guided by a setup wizard. Pre-configured dashboards and reports are made immediately available, with no need for additional configuration. The automatic processing in data2text natural language, alerts and notifications are also available from the start.

The above video shows an example of the configuration process using the setup wizard and demonstrates how the pre-determined dashboards are made immediately available upon submitting the web form. Since service modeling is not yet complete, all indicators will be shown in green. However, all standard indicators for each of the services, their integration with isometric maps, and processing in data2text natural language, will already be configured.

This makes it possible to focus all efforts on previous service identification and modelling tasks, as well as the integration of corporate databases, which provide the necessary metrics and indicators (monitoring sensors, service desk metrics, business indicators, etc.).
